May 2019 Stump Removal Part 6: Proper Disposal

Getting rid of a tree stump can be done a few different ways.  If you need to get rid of a stump that you’ve dug out of the ground, you can either take a chainsaw to it, burn it where it sits, or just cut out chunks and toss them into a wood chipper.

Getting It Done With A Chainsaw

If you use a chainsaw to bust up a wood stump, you will want to make sure you use a chainsaw that is big enough to handle the task.  Also, you will need to make sure you have the proper gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing.

After you have successfully cut the stump into manageable sizes you could use the stump pieces as firewood for inside or out.

Using A Grinding / Wood Chipping

If you use a wood chipper to dispose of the wood stump, you will want to make sure you use a one that is big enough to handle the task.  Also, you will need to make sure you have the proper gloves, eye protection, and protective clothing before you start feeding those pieces in.  If you have questions about how to proceed, we are more than happy to help and advise.
